Meet Kerry L. Bringman

Kerry L. Bringman is a retired author, educator, and veteran whose life experience brings unusual depth and realism to his storytelling.

After spending twenty-one years in the United States Air Force as a Security Specialist and Substance Abuse Counselor, Kerry continued another twenty years as a Civil Servant supporting both the Air Force and the Army in the fields of Behavioral Health and Risk Reduction. During that time, he also served as an adjunct professor for the University of Maryland and Central Texas Community College on Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Later, he spent more than a decade teaching Workforce Education and Development through Southern Illinois University, Carbondale’s satellite campus on McChord Air Force Base.

Today, Kerry spends his retirement doing what he loves most: writing, spending time with family, and performing in community theater. His fiction reflects the full range of that journey, structure and imagination, service and introspection, realism and wonder.

He writes stories that explore not only what people do under pressure, but who they become when memory, duty, grief, and hope collide.
